Air time: 25,000-balloon sculpture on show

American artist Jason Hackenwerth has unveiled his biggest work yet, Event Horizon, as part of an exhibition about life at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.

The 25,000-balloon sculpture, which is on display until 22 April, took 13 people six days to assemble.

A rotating sculpture of 25,000 balloons – the biggest on display in the world – is shown off by American artist Jason Hackenwerth at the National Museum of Scotland to mark the 30th anniversary of the Edinburgh International Science Festival.
