English pay less for Ardbeg whisky

-

A whisky-lover in Scotland was furious to discover he had been charged £10 more than English customers to have a bottle of premium single malt delivered his home.

Ian Gillan, a second-hand book dealer, paid £89 for the limited-edition Ardbeg Grooves bottle he ordered online, and had £20 added for delivering it from the Inner Hebrides to Blairgowrie, 180 miles away.

But customers in London, 550 miles away, and in most other parts of the UK, pay just £10 for shipping.
