Rapist back behind bars after attack on 8-year-old
A convicted rapist is back behind bars after a sex attack on a eight-year-old girl.
James Morrow abused the child at a house in Greenock, Inverclyde in January this year.
The youngster later told her mother what happened, before police were alerted.
A judge heard Morrow, of nearby Gourock, was already on the sex offenders register for life at the time. He was jailed for 14 years in the mid-90s in England for raping a stranger. Morrow now faces another lengthy spell behind bars after he pled guilty to sexually assaulting the girl.
A female relative of the child was at the High Court in Glasgow for the hearing.
Morrow appeared to apologise as he was led to the cells – but the woman shouted back: “Sorry does not cut it.”
