Police appeal over canalside death
Police have issued a fresh appeal for information about the death of a woman beside a Glasgow canal.
The body of Alison Mcallister, 56, from the Summerston area of the city, was discovered at the Forth and Clyde Canal, near to Cleveden Road, Maryhill, at about 1:30pm on Tuesday, 20 March. Her death is being treated as unexplained.
Police Scotland Detective Inspector Craig Mcphail said there had been an encouraging response from the public but officers still wanted to speak to anyone with information on Ms Mcallister’s movethe ments on the evening of Monday, 19 March.
She was seen around 5:20pm that day near Asda in Summerston before driving off in her blue Vauxhall Mokka car.
The last believed sighting of her was at the canal bank near Cleveden Road.
