Aberdeen Post-split disgrace

- Steve Wilson

Can anyone else see the irony of the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act being repealed amid claims it targeted and criminalised football fans and the widespread agreement that an Old Firm title decider is to be avoided at all costs due to the anticipated violence and disorder?

This is not the only disgrace surrounding the split this year with Rangers to be given two extra home games against top-six opposition. This is providing a clear sporting advantage to them in the league competition. They have had to play two away games against bottom-six sides and get in return two home games against tougher top-six sides. What is certain, however, is that the league will not be ordering Celtic to play a third game at Ibrox this season because the one thing they don’t worry about is fairness.
