Sir Ian Wilmut, the Roslin Institute scientist who led the team which created Dolly the sheep, has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. He is championin­g a new initiative to test therapies which could slow the progress of the disease. @Genematthe­wslaw commented: “Saddened to hear of Prof Sir Ian Wilmut’s diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.
