Dundee United Sinking feeling

I’ve had a fear for a few weeks that we hadn’t quite hit rock bottom and Saturday’s result at the Sons of the Rock seemed to bear that out.

With an outstanding game against winless Brechin still to be played it is possible this season could still reach its lowest point. However, the players managed to rouse themselves on Tuesday night to temporarily postpone the media darlings’ championship celebrations. With more divers than the Commonwealth Games, the Buddies huffed and puffed but never looked like champions. United sat far too deep and gave their opponents too much respect.

There are still players who haven’t the heart to wear the Tangerine shirt, but let’s hope we can kick on. I won’t hold my breath.
