Woman who died from serious injuries named

A woman who died after being found seriously injured in East Ayrshire has been named by police.

Alexis Flynn, 51, was found in Craigie Place in Kilmarnock after police were called out about 10:20pm on Tuesday night.

A 51-year-old man is expected to appear in court in connection with her death.

Police said she was found seriously injured, but died in hospital a short time later.

The man has been arrested and charged by police.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal over the woman’s death.
