Markle ‘very different kind of bride’, says Diana author

- By LAURA ELSTON

Meghan Markle is a “very different kind” of royal bride who has brought millions of followers to the Royal Family, a biographer of Diana, Princess of Wales has said.

In his new book, Meghan – A Hollywood Princess, Andrew Morton charts Ms Markle’s rise to stardom.

Before her engagement to Prince Harry, she was a successful actress in the US.

“She’s a very different kind of bride,” he told the BBC. “She’s coming to the Royal Family fully formed, with a successful career, with successful work as a blogger, Instagramer, social media and also of course her humanitarian work with World Vision Canada and the United Nations.”

Diana, Princess of Wales secretly collaborated with Mr Morton on his controversial book Diana: Her True Story.

Mr Morton hailed Ms Markle’s activism, which started at an early age, suggesting: “Her royal crest is going to be Make The Change because that’s always been her motto.”
