Edinburgh property projects boost PMP
Surveying and project management firm PMP is aiming to double its turnover in the next three years after unveiling a key appointment and commencing work on two major projects in Edinburgh.
The Leith Distillery, which recently received planning permission, has appointed the firm to deliver project management advice. The scheme is currently progressing with technical design development to allow building warrant applications to be submitted.
Meanwhile, PMP has been appointed as project manager for the Apple Apartments boutique hotel forming part of the £120 million New Waverley Project. The former Victorian primary school will be converted into a 21-bedroom five-star aparthotel which has been designed by Edinburghbased Staran Architects.
Chris Hay joins the firm as senior surveyor in the project management team, from JLL in London.
Joseph Dunn, director and head of project management for PMP, said: “We are delighted to be bringing Chris Hay to the Edinburgh project management team where he will be helping to drive PMP’S growth plans in the commercial development and fit out market.
“We also have two major projects going live. The Leith Distillery and the New Waverley Project are among the most exciting commercial developments currently underway in the city of Edinburgh.”
The firm has taken occupation of its first London-based office occupying a shared suite within Scotland House to take advantage of opportunities coming out of the city. 0 Joseph Dunn: working on ‘exciting’ projects
