Teenage girl in court on charge of man’s murder

A 17-year-old girl has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of another teenager.

Officers were called to a house on Spruce Way in Holytown about 10:25am on Thursday where an 18-year-old man was found seriously injured.

An air ambulance also attended, but the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene in the North Lanarkshire village just outside Motherwell.

A 17-year-old girl was charged with murder, impeding police and threatening behaviour.

She was yesterday remanded in custody.
