Care unit closed after bug outbreak

A care unit has been closed to new admissions following several cases of vomiting and diarrhoea.

NHS Tayside said the Bluebell Intermediate Care Unit in Dundee has been closed to new patients as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the virus.

The health board said that all appropriate infection control and prevention measures have been put in place at the unit.

NHS Tayside, said: “We ask people who may be feeling unwell not to visit.”
