Allied Surveyors builds up east coast

0 Chris Highton, left, Allied Surveyors’ director and vice-chairman, with new recruit Iain Mercer Allied Surveyors has signed up Iain Mercer, one of Scotland’s most experience­d commercial property players, to headup a new east coast agency.

Mercer, who joins from IME Property, has been appointed as the firm’s director of commercial agency in Edinburgh.

The new office will be based out of the firm’s townhouse on Walker Street in the capital’s west end and will complete Allied’s Scotland-wide coverage of commercial property services.

With a network of 32 offices and more than 160 employees, Allied Surveyors is now one of Scotland’s largest surveying practices.

Director and vice-chairman, Chris Highton, said: “Iain will be joining us to build a commercial agency presence on the east coast. Bringing profession­al skills, strengths and expertise, Iain will enhance our offering by expanding our services and contributi­ng to our continued growth throughout 2018.”

Mercer added: “This is a fantastic opportunit­y for me.”
