Loganair in tie-up deals with several key airlines

-

Loganair has signed a trio of partnership deals with major airlines which it said will benefit passengers at Scottish airports.

The Scottish airline said the deals with Air France, KLM and Thomas Cook Airlines will enable customers to use a single ticket and check baggage in once where flights connect at Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Norwich. Passengers on flights from the Highlands and Islands who are connecting onwards to long-haul destina- tions will also save up to £78 in air passenger duty taxes.

Loganair said four similar agreements, known as “interline deals” in the industry, are pending with airlines including Emirates.

Commercial director Kay Ryan said the agreements were a boost to the airline’s international connectivity.

“These are exciting deals with some of the biggest names in international air travel and they mean a better, joined-up service for our customers,” she said.
