Price tag: Difficult to estimate. PSG negotiated a £167 million permanent fee from Monaco following a loan, but may be forced to sell the teenager on to avoid heavy sanctions. Uefa opened an investigation into the club last September following allegations that the Qatari owners were artificially inflating sponsorship deals to duck FFP regulations. If they are found to have broken the rules, they could be kicked out of the Champions League or hit with large fines. If this all puts PSG in the position of having to transfer list the teenager, his price tag could be drastically cut.
Likelihood of a move: Slim. If you are the PSG manager you don’t sell the most precociously talented teenager in the world. You sell 31-year-old Edinson Cavani, 35-year-old Thiago Motta, 34-year-old Dani Alves, 33-year-old Thiago Silva, 33-year-old Lassana Diarra, 31-year-old Hatem Ben Arfa, or 30-year-old Angel Di Maria to cover the cost. Or indeed a mix of any of the above. If you were Manchester City, with an attacking line that already boasts Gabriel Jesus, Sergio Aguero, Leroy Sane, and Raheem Sterling, how much would you be willing to pay?
