Price tag: He’s the youngest player to play for Holland since the 1930s, Ajax’s second youngest goalscorer behind only Clarence Seedorf and has already featured in two top-flight Dutch seasons. So probably £50m, at least.
Likelihood of a move: Narrow. There’s a bidding war brewing for De Ligt’s services with Arsenal, Spurs, Bayern Munich and Barcelona all said to be keen on landing this young star in the making. But money talks. However, De Ligt has a calm head on and off the field – he’s said: “I am going to make a decision with my head, not based on money offers.” Only time will tell if that’s the case.
