Proclaimers star’s daughter honoured

The daughter of Proclaimers star Craig Reid has won a global songwriting honour – just months before she releases her debut album.

Leith-born Roseanne Reid is celebrating after winning the “Lyrics Only” category in the Nashville-based International Songwriting Competition for her song Amy.

It was among 344 songs shortlisted from more than 160,000 entries from 130 different countries for the awards, which are open to all professional and amateur songwriters.
