Body found in search for missing man
A body has been discovered in woodland in the search for a missing man from South Lanarkshire.
Formal identification has yet to take place but police believe it to be William Higgins, 49, who disappeared from Auctioneers Way in Lanark.
Mr Higgins has been missing from the area since March 25.
A spokesman for Police Scotlandsaid:“apost-mortem examination will be carried out in due course and the death is not being treated as suspicious.”
Police say a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
