14-time Euro tour winner Nocera retires from golf and reveals she is pregnant

France’s Gwladys Nocera, who has won 14 times on the Ladies European Tour, has announced her retirement from tournament golf.

Nocera also revealed that she is four months pregnant and expecting her first child in September in a press conference ahead of the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco, an event she won in 2007 and 2015.

The 43-year-old, who made four Solheim Cup appearanc- es between 2005 and 2015, said: “I have decided to end my career this week. It’s been 15 years on the LET and 15 years that I gave everything I had. I worked really hard and gave all my passion for the game to achieve what I did.”

The men’s European Tour is also in Morocco this week with the Hassan Trophy taking place at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam.

Italy’s Edoardo Molinari is the defending champion and he is joined in the field by nine Scots, Marc Warren, Stephen Gallacher, Paul Lawrie, Connor Syme, David Drysdale, Scott Jamieson, Richie Ramsay, Bradley Neil and Grant Forrest.
