Queen of the South Alan key to win
With nothing left to play for it is to the credit of the players that they managed to go to a tough venue like Cappielow and pick up the win against a Morton side still with an outside chance of the play-offs.
It is no coincidence that we managed to keep a clean sheet with the return of first-choice goalkeeper Alan Martin to the starting XI. There is no doubt our goals against column would have been significantly improved had he remained fit all season. In hindsight finding a suitable replacement might have been a better option than throwing inexperienced youngster Jack Leighfield into the deep end. Hopefully both he and the club will have learned from the experience.
