Internatio­nal student dies after car crash

An internatio­nal student has died in hospital after being knocked down by a car in Glasgow.

The 24-year-old woman suffered a serious head injury after being hit by a car in University Avenue on Tuesday evening.

She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment but died yesterday.

The 24-year-was was studying at Glasgow Internatio­nal College, which teaches foreign students before they move on to degrees at the University of Glasgow.

The motorist was uninjured.
