Drugs worth £200k found following fire

A man has appeared in court after drugs with an estimated street value of more than £200,000 were recovered in Aberdeen following a fire.

Police Scotland said that the heroin recovery was made following the execution of a search warrant in the Torry area on Wednesday.

Scott Simpson, 42, faced a drugs charge at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.

He made no plea and was released on bail.
