#WARMESTDAYOFYEAR
Much of the UK basked in warm weather. Parts of Scotland, however, were still suffering under the cloudy, if muggy, climes. @Skinnydiplondon posted: “PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: The only food to be consumed today should be crisps or ice lollies. Legs out. Floral patterns encouraged. Emails ignored.” @Tonysheps warned: “You do realise these few days of sun are probably our summer! Make the most of it!” @Labourcat tweeted: “Could Scotland have some #Warmestday please? All I can see is cloud.”

Nicola Sturgeon faced her weekly grilling at PMQS. Ruth Davidson tackled the First Minister on the SNP’S supposed links to controversial data analysis firm Cambridge Analytica. @Erikgeddes tweeted: “Ruth Davidson’s questioning backfires spectacularly! Cambridge Analytica told @Commonscms in Feb to have spoken to all major UK parties. The Libdems and @thesnp rejected them. The Tories have a plethora of ties to CA. Now the Tories have to explain these shady links.” @Garethbquinn agreed: “This is utterly embarrassing from Ruth Davidson. She is clutching at straws, attempting to distract from the numerous links between her party & Cambridge Analytica.”
#PRINCECHARLES
As heads of Commonwealth nations gather in London, the issue of who will succeed the Queen as the organisation’s head surfaced again. Most assumed Prince Charles would take over the role, which is not hereditary. @Republicstaff reported: “Labour leader @jeremycorbyn says Prince Charles should not automatically become Head of the Commonwealth after the Queen. ‘The Commonwealth ought to get a chance to decide who it’s own head is in the future’.” @Scobie addded: “Interesting to hear the Queen (for the first time) express her hope that Prince Charles will take over her role as Head of the Commonwealth” @Yepbusiness said: “I’d prefer William. Modern, inclusive, classy.”
