Mansion owner told to cut down hedge over row

-

The owner of a Highland country mansion has been ordered to chop down 50ft trees on his property after a neighbour complained they ruined her garden.

Dr David Hamilton owns Isla Bank House – a 12-bedroom property that was built around 1892 – in Keith, Moray.

The house is available for rent on visits to the Moray coast.

But a prolonged row between Dr Hamilton and neighbour Stacey Chalmers over a “green wall” of western red cedar trees has led council bosses to order a large section of the 230ft long hedge be cut down.
