Firefighte­rs tackle overnight blaze at shops

Firefighte­rs have tackled a blaze in Glasgow overnight.

They were called to the incident at Lochend Road, in the Easterhous­e area of the city, at about 2.45am yesterday.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said five crews were involved in the operation to bring the flames under control.

The fire is believed to have been at shops in the area.

A crew remained at the scene by daylight yesterday morning.

There have been no reports of any casualties as a result of the fire.
