Police appeal after attempted robbery in street

Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery at the weekend.

The incident happened at 2.40am on Sunday in Paisley.

A 24-year-old man was walking on Niddry Street near to New Sneddon Street when he was approached by another man and threatened with violence.

The suspect is described as white, between 29-30 years of age and 5ft 8 to 5ft 10 inches in height. A teeange girl was subjected to a terrifying sexual assault in woods in Renfrewshi­re.

Detectives are appealing for informatio­n after the 14-yearold was targeted in Linwood on Saturday.
