Sykes records first victory of season

SUPERBIKES: Tom Sykes recorded his first World Superbike victory of the season in Aseen, Netherlands.

Reigning champion Jonathan Rea had claimed his eighth straight win on Saturday, but Sykes overshadowed him this time, with Michael van der Mark (Yamaha) in second.

Rea’s lead at the top of the championship now stands at 30 points.
