Heart of Midlothian Abject surrender

-

Again Hearts followed a high-quality home win with abject surrender to crisis-ridden Rangers. Perhaps it was Amankwaa, whose hapless appearance at Dundee had reminded me of the non-footballing tradesmen Vlad inflicted on the team. Either he employs a body double at training or his temperament is not yet suited to matches, as again he proved a weak link in front of an out-of-position left back. We badly missed the direct running of Milinkovic. Levein’s tactics can be criticised, but is it the resulting negative mind-set that induces an inability to pass to a team-mate? Maybe the white socks confused them. Despite it all, Berra gave us hope and Lafferty was inches from equalising – which suggests we missed a great chance to win.
