Hibernian Second-best Celtic

In order to defeat Celtic, you would usually require to catch them on an off-day, while having every player in your own team on top form. Something akin to that occured on Saturday, but Celtic didn’t play particularly badly – they were just second best (as sportingly acknowledged by Brendan Rodgers) to a Hibernian side always in with a chance of ensuring the title party was postponed for another week.

This weekend’s encounter with Killie gives us a chance to confirm that fourth place is the worst we can do this season. I’m certain the players will feel they need to play with the same level of concentration displayed against Celtic, as Killie will come to Easter Road looking for a victory and are capable of beating anyone on their day.
