Forecourt group ramps up presence in Scotland

Euro Garages has ramped up its presence in Scotland after acquiring six roadside retail sites.

The firm has bought operations in Edinburgh, Fife, Peterhead, Forfar, Paisley and at Heartlands Business Park at the new M8 Junction 4A, between Edinburgh and Glasgow. It also acquired a site in Northumber­land.

Based in Blackburn, Euro Garages is now recognised as one of Europe’s biggest petrol forecourt and convenienc­e retailers, operating some 3,000 sites across seven European markets.

Sarah Lucas, head of property acquisitio­ns at Euro Garages, said: “We are extremely pleased to have acquired these sites with the assistance of Montagu Evans, driving our expansion programme and increasing our fuel and roadside retail representa­tion throughout Scotland.”
