St Mirren One big party

-

Morton failed to provide a guard of honour for the champions on trophy day. That must have been a motivation for the Saints players, who emerged as deserved winners against our rivals for the first time this season (I mean, we couldn’t go up without restoring what Craig Levein would call “natural order”).

Lewis Morgan scored with ten minutes to go, and was then substituted with five left, receiving one of the loudest ovations of the day. The boy has been a wonder to watch this season, and it is sad to see him go.

The party which followed in Paisley continued into the small hours, as fans, players, staff and legends all celebrated together, buying into St Mirren’s “One town, one team” ethos.
