Honorary doctorates for Calman and Neil

Comedian Susan Calman and broadcaster Andrew Neil will receive honorary doctorates from the University of Glasgow this summer.

The institution is awarding 23 honorary doctorates to leading figures in the arts, broadcasting, music, science, medicine and law for outstanding achievements and contributions.

Calman will be honoured for her work as a broadcaster and comedian, and for highlighting mental health issues and LGBT rights, while Neil will be recognised for his contribution to broadcasting and journalism.
