Man attacked by home invader bearing a knife

A man who attacked his victim in his Highlands home twice in the same day has been jailed for 40 months.

George Harper, 36, left the man bruised in the first assault.

He later returned to attack his victim Ross Mackinnon with a knife and a radiator panel. Mr Mackinnon was attacked in his home in Wick, Caithness.

Surgery was required to remove a piece of broken knife blade from one of Mr Mackinnon’s arms.

Harper was jailed yesterday at the High Court in Edinburgh.
