I had to chuckle at the closing sentences of Brian Wilson’s latest anti-independen­ce missive (Perspectiv­e, 27 April) as he summarised Calmac’s operationa­l problems (the SNP’S fault, of course) as follows: “The closer decision-making takes place to those directly affected, the more likely it is that positive outcomes will be achieved”. Indeed.
