‘ Young vandals’ to blame for torching bus

-

A fire which tore through a bus in Dunfermline may have been started by young vandals.

Passengers were evacuated from the double decker when the blaze erupted on Friday evening. By the time fire fighters arrived the vehicle was well alight, with its rear end burnt out.

Stagecoach East Scotland is investigating the cause but said on social media on Friday that it was down to vandalism by children.

Police shut off part of Lap wing Drive, in the town’ s Master ton area, while fire fighter stackled the flames. Residents reported hearing a bang.
