Edrington appoints fragrance marketing expert to board
An executive behind the marketing of some of the world’s best-known luxury fragrance brands has joined the board of Edrington as a non-executive director as it pursues ongoing growth and global expansion.
The group, which is behind brands such as The Famous Grouse and The Macallan, said Stefanie Fitzgerald brings “significant strategic development experience as well as expertise in building international premium brands, which will be valuable in supporting the continued growth of the company”.
She is currently vice president of corporate marketing at Esteé Lauder’s Europe, Middle East and Africa division based in Paris, and her new appointment is effective today. Fitzgeraldisagermannational who began her career with Unilever, where she became global marketing director for Lagerfeld, Valentino, and Sherrer fragrances.
Before joining Esteé Lauder, she spent 15 years with Coty, managing many of the company’s prestige brands before moving into a strategic development role where she “advanced go-to-market strategies across the company’s emerging markets”. Her appointmentcomesascallum Barton plans to step down at the end of July after 11 years as a non-executive director.
Edrington chairman Crawford Gillies thanked Barton for his service, particularly his advocacy of the new Macallan Distillery and Visitor Centre that will open in June. 0 The group said Fitzgerald’s expertise will help its growth
