Poor decision?

-

The attempts by the old club and the new club to emulate Celtic have had disastrous consequences for both of them. Confucius had this sort of situation in mind 2,500 years ago when he said ‘Before embarking on a mission of revenge, dig two graves.’

World wide Football Fan Awww, he will be sadly missed and fondly remembered, hail hail Murty.

Chris Byrne I thought Brendan Rodgers’ description yesterday was very appropriate, that Mr Murty tried to do his best in very difficult circumstances. It was always a huge “ask” to expect anyone to step up from his previous job to managing the first team. I hope he finds another job – maybe back in coaching younger players – in which he is happy.

Hazel Smith Agreed. Murty’s that rarity of rareties, a decent man at Greyskull!

Alan Deans A victim of the delusion of the Ibrox hordes. Murty improved them but should have known better than to step into the viper’s nest. Folk like him don’t blend in at Ibrox and are never accepted. Extraordinarily shabby treatment of a guy who managed to hold things together after the Warburton farce, the Caixinha farce and the Barton farce. Hope he maintains enough enthusiasm in the game to sharpen his skill set and enjoy better luck, respect and success elsewhere. I think at this stage that they should go to the Premiership in England. Although Arsenal Ladies and Manchester Ladies may also prove too strong for them.

Garfankle The Rangers team is poor quality, so no matter who picks up this poisoned chalice, they will not be in post for that long. Easier to get a new manager than a new team. Unfortunately it is the team that is the problem.

I Know You Know Murty was handed a poisoned chalice but still managed to get his team in contention for second place in the league. That is not a bad result and certainly doesn’t deserve the aggro that comes his way from fans and, especially, the board.

John Mason On £160,000 a year, Sturgeon can still afford booze. Booze buses to English shops – new business opportunity.

Mike Allan Spot on. Same as gambling addiction. This won’t solve the perceived problem.
