- By SCOTT REID

Industrial developer and asset manager Chancerygate has been granted planning permission to develop a trade park in Livingston, West Lothian.

The site is situated within Houstoun Industrial Estate, adjacent to junction three of the M8 motorway. It will provide nine units ranging from 3,500 square feet to 66,900 sq ft, available on a leasehold basis. Local occupiers include Screwfix, Tile Giant, Toolstation and Hire Station.

Mike Walker, development director for Chancerygate, said: “We have been encouraged by the early interest shown in the scheme which has enabled us to move forward and achieve planning permission and we are now working towards developing out on a speculative basis.”

Now that planning has been secured, the firm aims to be on site by the summer.

The planning consultancy was Hourigan Connolly and the architect on the scheme is Stephens George.

The new scheme is being marketed by JLL and Colliers International.
