St Mirren Deserved award

-

It would have been easy for the members of PFA Scotland to vote Brendan Rodgers as their manager of the year. Celtic have clearly been far and away the best team in the country.

So I was delighted they chose Jack Ross. It is thoroughly deserved, in light of the turnaround he has engineered at our club. When he took over in October 2016, Saints were struggling in the Championship, but he saved us from relegation before running away with this season’s title.

Jack has shown loyalty by turning down approaches by Dundee and Barnsley in order to stay in Paisley. I’d like to think we quickly establish ourselves back in the Premiership, but if that takes time, I hope the board will show the same loyalty to him.
