Queen of the South Positive conclusion

On Saturday, Queens turned in the professional display required to ensure Brechin remained without a win all season.

Concluding with three consecutive wins was enough to climb to sixth, matching last season, albeit with nine more points gathered. Stephen Dobbie’s hat-trick ensured he picked up the golden boot for the division for the second season running. It was nice to end with these positives. Of our departing players, left-back Jordan Marshall will be missed the most. He has made the position his own in his three seasons with the club, improving markedly under Gary Naysmith. Other notable departures include club captain John Rankin, club legend Derek Lyle and injury-plagued Dan Carmichael.
