On two consecutive days the Scots man has published letters from Dennis ForbesG rat tan containing basic errors. On 2 May Mr ForbesG rattan said the Scottish Government ignored good advice to use the profits from the rise in the minimum price of alcohol to help people with alcohol addiction, ignoring the fact that alcohol duty is reserved to Westminster.

And on 3 May he says the SNP have reneged on promises to “put more policemen on the street to keep our streets safer ”. The fact is that there are more police officers on the streets than the number they inherited and crime is at an alltime low.
