What crisis?

So would fracking - and it actually works.

Uncle Monty Our own experience of renewables is that few jobs are created in Scotland. All the manufacturer’s jobs are in Europe and a transient workforce erects the wind turbines.

Pete Skier How much taxpayers’ money thrown at it and how many failures before they get it through their thick heads that what they are proposing will not work. Add in the fact that they will not save a single ounce of CO2, that important element that is essential for life on earth. What a great approach. I’ll bet the same was said of wind power and solar power, both of which are now as economical as gas power, and completely sustainable, thanks to the investment in those technologies.

Dunnomuch Am sure there is some hype in the claim that thousands of jobs could be created, same as there is about wind and solar energy. That said, one thing is certain – the tide comes in and goes out 365 days of the year and never fails. There is a lot of energy involved in the movement of vast volumes of water and if it can be captured and turned into electricity then it is undeniably a reliable source of clean electricity, and worth investing in.

City Loon The major difficulties in delivering tidal and wave power is getting something that will survive a winter in the sea at a cost that makes it viable. The science was done 30 years ago.
