An Aberdeen accountancy and business advisory firm has taken steps to accommodate future growth with a multi- million- pound investment in a new office more than double the size of its last location.

Infinity Partnership has moved in the Granite City from Albert Street to a standalone office on nearby Carden Place. The firm currently has 17 staff while the new site has space for 40 people.

The business added that it is on track to increase turnover from £ 2.1 million to £ 2.3m for its 2018 financial year end this month.

It has in recent years carved out a niche in research and development tax credit claims, with more than £ 80m worth made in the past year.

Additionally, it says it has been “100 per cent” successful in claims made using its own processes, and also recently seen a revival in investment, merger and acquisition (M& A) activity.

MD Simon Cowie said the business is“delighted” with the Carden Place office, which is finished to an “exceptionally high” standard.

He added: “The move reflects our confidence in, and com- mitment to, the Aberdeen market.

“We know that our offering of a broad range of strategic advice to complement traditional accountancy services is appealing to clients, so it’s important for us to have additional space available to allow us to grow.”

And he said Infinity Partnership has “moved with the times” in terms of cloud- based accountancy services and offering services and advice to support business continuity.

“This has led to a client retention rate of 99 percent and recognition by our peers with national awards.

“It’s a very exciting time for the business and we’re looking forward to the next phase of growth.”

Cowie, who since 2011 has completed more than 50 M& A deals worth more than £ 325m, also said Infinity was looking to grow the team, particularly in the tax arena, and to boost its growing number of international clients and partnerships.

Infinity has advised more than 100 start- ups in the past 18 months, supported companies with tax credit claims and assisted clients with financial advice and restructuring amid the low oil price.

Furthermore, it said its expertise has also been sought by six PLCS, while its customer base also includes large businesses, small and mediumsized enterprises, business partnerships and investors, and start- ups.
