Foden to leave Franklin’s Gardens after 250 appearances over ten years
England international Ben F ode ni stole ave Aviva Premiership club Northampton.
The Saints have announced that 32- year-oldFodenw ill depart Franklin’s Gardens at the end of this season.
The full- back or wing, who won 34 caps between 2009 and 2013, is set to make his 250th Northampton appearance when Saints tackle Worcester on Saturday.
“I have enjoyed some incredible highs at this club over the last ten years, w inn ingtro- phies both in this country and across E ur ope,” Foden said, in a statement released by the club. “I still feel fit and hungry for competitive rugby, and while now is the time to move on, I am really excited for what the next chapter holds in store for me.”
Fod en joined North ampton from Sale Sharks in 2008, and Saints interim head coach Alan Dickens said: “Fodes has been a remarkable player for both Northampton Saints and England.
“We will miss having him around Franklin’ s Gardens, both in terms of what he offers on the pitch as a player and a leader, but also as a character in the dressing room.”
