Man ‘who tried to give girls fiver’ up for abduction
A man is facing trial after allegedly attempting to abduct two girls in Falkirk.
Prosecutors claim John Bermingham, 51, tried to abduct the girls “with intent to commit a sexual offence” in May last year.
Video footage showed one of the girls, aged ten, being interviewed by police officers hours after the alleged incident. Bermingham has denies the charges.
The girl told officers she and a friend had been approached by a male cyclist in a playground.
The girl said the man offered to give her a “fiver” in return for her help.
