Princess Royal pays her respects to those lost in sinking of Great War troop ships off Islay
Princess Anne lays a wreath at the War Memorial in Port Ellen on Islay as she joined other dignitaries and decedents at a WW100 commemoration service. Representatives from the UK, USA, France and Germany gathered together on the island to remember it’s contribution to the First World War and in particular the loss of two troop ships – SS Tuscania and HMS Otranto – with the loss of almost 700 lives
