Man dies in central Liverpool stabbing
A 20-year-old man has died after being stabbed in Liverpool city centre.
Officers were called to Hanover Street about 4am yesterday after reports that a man had sustained injuries “consistent with a knife wound”. He later died in hospital. Detective Superintendent Lee Turner said police were committed to bringing to justice those who carried knives.
Hanover Street and Wood Street remain closed as a forensic investigation takes place.
