DUP leader is giving May orders, Labour claim
Theresa May has been accused by Labour of “taking her orders” from DUP leader Arlene Foster after she revealed she has received regular updates on Brexit policy, including a telephone call on Saturday about the customs union impasse.
Ms Foster hit out at Brussels over the EU’S stance on customs, telling the BBC’S Andrew Marr Show: “We don’t believe that we have to stay in the customs union to have free flow between ourselves and the Republic of Ireland.”
She added she was “disappointed there wasn’t the engagement from the EU” when the government’s proposals were published last year.
