Targets missed

-

The Scottish Government has missed five of its own economic targets since coming to power, according to Tory research. The SNP aren’t fit to run a whelk stall. Just look at the massive deficit that they’ve managed to bequeath us and Scotland, the highest biggest deficit in Europe right now when looked at as a percentage of GDP!

Peter Mcgrouther MBE Even Unionists know that the alleged imbalance in Scotland’s economic indicators has always been concealed by Westminster. To the detriment of the rest of the UK, London and the South-east of England will always attract more government investment to enable it to outperform the rest.

Samuelcoldstream The SNP would do well if it ran Scotland as it should be, and could show everyone it understood fiscal prudence and set the ground for growth – that would persuade more people of the possibilities of independence.

Danny Moore The biggest threat to the Scottish economy comes from leaving the UK single internal market.

Hazel Smith The A1 into Berwick has never been so busy with visitors from Scotland; the chippies and cafes are doing a roaring trade as are the shopping centres round Berwick. I shudder to think of all that cash pouring out of Scotland at the weekend.
