Fun-time for Bookbug: Annual week of reading celebration kicks off around Scotland

The Bookbug mascot joins the youngsters and parents from Bridgeton Family Learning Centre in Glasgow for story time and to have tea with their cuddly toys for the launch of Bookbug Week. The annual event starts today and will see a series of free, special events taking place all over Scotland for families with babies and young children.

Author Ross Collins will host a Bookbug Live event which will be streamed on the Scottish Book Trust’s website on Thursday at 11am. He will share his book, There’s a Bear on my Chair, and demonstrate how he illustrates his comic characters.
